Daniel P. Bishop is an associate attorney with the firm of Leighton, Katz & Drapeau. His practice consists exclusively of representing injured claimants/plaintiffs in workers’ compensation and personal injury cases. Attorney Bishop joined the firm in 2016 after spending time as a Temporary Assistant Clerk for Windham County, where he learned a great deal about courthouse procedure while clerking for the Honorable Judge Angelo dos Santos and the Honorable Judge Edward Graziani.
Attorney Bishop received his Juris Doctor from Northeastern University School of Law in Boston, Massachusetts and his Bachelor of Arts from the University of New Hampshire in Durham, New Hampshire. He is a member of the Connecticut Bar Association, the Connecticut Trial Lawyers Association, the Tolland County Bar Association, and the Windham County Bar Association. In addition, Attorney Bishop is a member of the Connecticut Valley chapter of Business Network International.
Attorney Bishop comes to the firm having spent extensive time in the courtroom, having worked for Chief Magistrate Judge Jennifer C. Boal of the U.S. District Court in Boston, Massachusetts, the Major Crimes Unit of the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Boston, a private criminal and civil litigation firm in Boston, and the Litigation, Government Investigations, and Labor & Employment team for Staples, Inc. In addition, Attorney Bishop was a senior staff member of the Northeastern University Law Journal and participated in the Uvaldo Herrera National Moot Court Competition.
