James J. Walker is an associate with the firm of Leighton, Katz & Drapeau. Mr. Walker’s practice is devoted exclusively to representing injury victims in personal injury litigation, and he has significant trial experience in both the Connecticut state and federal courts having brought many cases to successful jury verdicts in his 15 years of practice. Prior to becoming an attorney in 1997, Mr. Walker had a lengthy career as a bodily injury specialist and claims adjuster for an insurance company where he was responsible for evaluating and settling serious bodily injury claims. His comprehensive knowledge of the insurance claims process is one of the keys to his success in maximizing the recoveries that he is able to secure on behalf of his injured clients.
Mr. Walker completed his undergraduate education at the University of Connecticut in 1988 and received his Juris Doctorate from The Cleveland-Marshall College of Law in 1997. He is a member of the Connecticut Bar Association, the Connecticut Trial Lawyers Association and the Tolland County Bar Association. Mr. Walker was admitted to practice in the Connecticut state courts in 1997 and to the United States District Court for the District of Connecticut in 1999.
