After a long day at the office your wrists may be in pain and feeling strained from a long day of typing, you might have a repetitive strain injury (RSI.) When you’ve been on your feet all day you may experience some weakness or soreness in your joints, you might have an RSI.
What is a repetitive strain injury?
RSIs are defined as injuries that leave you with pain or soreness in your muscles or joints after prolonged and repeated use. Often these can be a sign of a workplace injury and you may be entitled to file a workers’ compensation claim in the state of Connecticut.
Some of these types of injuries include:
- Rotator cuff syndrome
- Carpal tunnel syndrome
- Bursitis
- Trigger finger
- Tendonitis
While this is not an exhaustive list of all the different RSIs that may occur it is a list of some of the more common injuries that can occur on the job. If left untreated, this type of injury can become a hindrance to your job performance and leave you unable to perform your duties.
