According to the National Safety Council (NSC) there are industries that have a higher incidence of workplace injuries that often lead to Connecticut workers’ compensation claims. While injuries can happen in any industry, there are certain industries where workers are more susceptible to on the job accidents.

Not only do these industries have the highest rates of workplace injuries, but these injuries are also leading to more days off from work due to injury than in any other industry identified by the NSC.
In all, American workers missed the equivalent of more than 104 million production days due to workplace injury in 2017. These injuries included things like soreness or pain in your back, cuts or lacerations, sprains, strains, or tears. Not all, but many of these injuries could have been prevented through safety measures taken by both the company and the employee to better protect workers.
