Regular Eye Exams For All Adults Can Save Lives

Unless you have specific issues with your eyesight, most adults do not consider getting regular eye exams as a key component to keeping them safe on Connecticut roadways, but in fact, it is one of the most important things you can do as an adult.

Regular eye exams are one of the best ways that drivers can avoid a Connecticut auto accident.  It is with this in mind that we want to review how often adults should be seen for an eye exam.  This information comes courtesy of Aetna

  • Ages 20 to 39: Every 5 years
  • Ages 40 to 54: Every 2 to 4 years
  • Ages 55 to 64: Every 1 to 3 years
  • Ages 65 and up: Every 1 to 2 years

This regular schedule of eye exams is if you do not have any underlying eye issues.  If you do have underlying vision impairments you should see your eye doctor to determine a plan that is right for you.

The best thing you can do to prevent yourself from being in a Connecticut auto accident is to make sure your eyesight is very good.  If it is not, you will want to have it addressed by an eye doctor so you are driving with the best possible vision.
