Self Driving Tesla Crashes Which Opens More Questions

There are people who believe that self-driving cars will be the new normal in the next few years, but after two men were killed in Texas while traveling in a Tesla that was in self-driving mode, more questions are being asked about the safety of this technology.

With self-driving technology already on the road there is concern that this underregulated tech may lead to more Connecticut auto accidents and cause more deaths like the ones seen in the Texas crash.   While Tesla continues to roll out it’s software upgrade to its current fleet of vehicles which will allow these cars to be put in full self-drive mode, regulators are growing concerned over the lack of transparency in the technology.

With Tesla’s on the road here in Connecticut, what can you do to be safe and avoid having any run-ins with this technology yourself?

First, if you are a Tesla driver, you should avoid putting your car in full self-driving mode until the technology is completely vetted.

Second, if you are a driver on the road where there are vehicles using this technology you will want to be extra vigilant about paying attention to the vehicles around you and keeping your eyes on the road.  While you cannot completely remove the danger that one of these vehicles present, you can certainly stay alert to those vehicles around you.

You may also want to educate yourself about the technology that is in these vehicles.  Understanding where the problems might lie may lead you to a better experience driving alongside them and help you avoid a Connecticut auto accident.  One thing is for sure, this technology is not going away, so we will need to learn to live with it on our roads, but we can certainly do so safely.
