Areas of Family Law

Don’t face your family law issues alone

If you find yourself seriously considering a family law legal action, or if you’ve already decided to take action, you’ve probably already done some research, and maybe you’ve even talked with a close friend. When you’re ready to talk with an attorney, please contact me at 860-875-7000 or by email at jkatz@JimKatzFamilyLaw.com.

Family law requires an attorney who understands

I’ll listen carefully to you and answer your questions directly and clearly. I’ll also ask you about your specific goals, and we’ll decide together if it makes sense to meet to consider the next steps. Sometimes, even a brief phone call can clarify whether what you’re thinking and feeling is something to act on right away or something that needs more time.

What should I expect after meeting with a family law attorney?

After a meeting, if we agree that you’re ready to pursue legal action, I will use my many years in family law to assist you.

My legal assistant and I work as a true team and gather the information we need to prepare a strategy to meet your objectives. We then stay in close communication with you throughout the negotiation process, regardless of the type of divorce.

Relationship transitions involving children, whether smooth or rocky, are particularly sensitive. Our approach is always to put their interests and well-being first.

Call me to set up a time to talk. If I’m in court, my assistant will get back to you promptly.
